Privacy Policy
Capybara Dimensional values the privacy of people who visit our website and contact us about engineering services. This policy explains what personal data may be processed, why we use it and what choices you have.
1. Who is responsible?
Capybara Dimensional, Sint-Maartensdijk, the Netherlands, is responsible for processing personal data through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
2. Information we process
When you contact us, we may receive your name, business email address, telephone number, company name, selected engineering service, project description, and any other information you choose to share. Email correspondence may contain additional information you provide voluntarily.
When you browse the website, our hosting provider may process technical connection information such as an IP address, request time, requested pages and browser information for website delivery, reliability and security.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Enquiries and project discussions: responding to your request, preparing quotations and taking steps before entering into an agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in business communication when that basis applies (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Security and reliability: preventing misuse and maintaining our website, based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Website statistics: understanding which pages and services are useful and improving the website, based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), where permitted by applicable ePrivacy rules.
- Legal obligations: retaining information where required by applicable law (Article 6(1)(c)).
4. Umami Analytics
We use Umami Cloud for privacy-focused website analytics. The standard Umami tracker does not rely on tracking cookies. We measure aggregated visits, viewed pages and limited interactions, such as clicks on service links and whether a contact request was successfully submitted. We do not send form content, names, email addresses, telephone numbers or project descriptions to Umami as event properties. Analytics data is retained according to the conditions of our Umami Cloud plan.
5. Contact form and spam prevention
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish genuine contact requests from automated abuse. Cloudflare may receive technical information needed for this verification. Our mail provider processes your enquiry to deliver it to us. Do not include passwords or highly confidential project documents in the contact form.
6. Other third-party services
Our website uses Google Fonts to display typography. External services such as LinkedIn and WhatsApp are accessed when you choose to follow those links and are subject to their own privacy policies. Our hosting provider processes technical data required to deliver the site. Depending on provider infrastructure, some data processing may take place outside the European Economic Area under applicable legal safeguards.
7. Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site marketing trackers through our current website analytics setup. Umami Analytics works without tracking cookies. Necessary technical functions or third-party services may use technical storage where applicable. If our use of cookies or other tracking changes, we will review whether prior consent is required and update this policy.
8. How long we keep information
We retain business enquiries and correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage a potential or ongoing professional relationship, resolve disputes or comply with legal requirements. Technical server logs are managed according to our hosting provider's security and retention settings. We review the need for continued retention and delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required. The Umami Cloud Hobby plan currently provides a six-month analytics retention period.
9. Sharing and security
We share information only where needed with service providers who support hosting, email delivery, analytics and website security, or where required by law. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we handle, but no electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests and, where applicable, to data portability. Contact us at [email protected]. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, providers or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page.
